NXT Coverage: Drew’s Time, Finally

There was not a wasted second on NXT this week. Every match was meaningful, either setting up a current storyline or creating a new one. Why can’t RAW’s writing be just as good? Hell, why can’t RAW’s wrestling be as good?

Matches:

Ruby Riot vs. Ember Moon: Riot nearly won on several occasions, but Moon won with the Eclipse to ensure she gets another shot at Asuka and the NXT Women’s Title.

Oney Lorcan vs. Danny Burch: On paper this is a match no one should have cared about. The two mid-carders with no storyline attachments tore the house down in a bloody war that Lorcan won with a Half Crab submission.

No Way Jose vs. Cesar Bononi: Basically a squash as Jose won with the Knockout Punch but interference from Andrade “Cien” Almas after sets up Jose with a new angle.

#1 Contenders Match: Drew MacIntyre vs. Killian Dane: MacIntyre won with the Claymore, but Dane hit him with everything in an offensive war.
