GFW Impact Coverage: Shakeups Galore

Holy crap, GFW just shook things up big time. Jim Cornette is in, Bruce Pritchard is out. Taryn Terrell, John Morrison, Petey Williams and oVe all made their debuts and with a new World Champion set to be crowned next week, Impact hasn’t been this worth watching in over a year.

GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna w/KM vs. Gail Kim: Gail had this one all sewn up with the Eat Defeat, but KM and the returning Taryn Terrell (who hit a Cutter on Kim) helped Sienna capitalize with the AK-47 for the win.

Super X Cup Finals: Taiji Ishimori vs. Dezmond Xavier: This wasn’t nearly as high-flying as you’d expect, but Xavier won with the Pele after he avoided the 450.

Ladder Match: X-Division Champion Sonjay Dutt vs. Trevor Lee: This was a weird one as interference from Kaleb Conley and Petey Williams took us away from the main action that saw Dust reclaim his title.

oVe vs. Jason Cade and Zachary Wentz: An average encounter that saw oVe get the win with the classic, High/Low Kick combo.

Bobby Lashley vs. Matt Sydal: Lashley was on the offensive throughout, but Sydal was able to avoid the Spear and get the surprise win with a Rollup.
