GFW Impact Coverage: House Show on TV

Run-ins galore led to an uneven episode of Impact that did little to advance any real storylines. After crowning two champions last week, this week’s show was a letdown, especially with an American Top Team main event. With the weak crowd and a lack of real storyline, it felt like a televised house show.


(Non-Title)Impact Grand Champion Ethan Carter III vs. Petey Williams: Carter was in co troll until Matt Sydal got involved and the match was thrown out.

(Non-Title) GFW Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness vs. KC Spinelli: Van Ness won with the Curb Stomp and Unprettier in a competitive but far from an exciting match. After the match, Allie hit the ring and attacked Van Ness.

Trevor Lee, Caleb Konley and Hakim Zane vs. Sonjay Dutt, Garza Jr. and Dezmond Xavier: A disaster of a match that saw Xavier win with the Corkscrew Senton variation from the top rope. After the match, new X-Division Champion Taji Ishimori hit the ring to show Xavier the title.

GHC Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards and Moose vs. Bobby Lashley and KM w/Dan Lambert: Interference from Lambert allowed KM to hit the Powerbomb Lungblower to get his team the win,
