GFW Impact Coverage: New Champs Galore

The end of James Storm’s career in GFW and a new X-Division and Tag Team Champions made for an “Impactful” episode of Impact.

Matches:

Taiji Ishimori vs. X-Division Champion Trevor Lee w/Caleb Konley: Lee had dominant spells, but Ishimori won with the Piledriver Inverted Lungblower variation, followed by the 450, to claim the X-Division title.

Impact Grand Champion Ethan Carter III vs. Fallah Bahh vs. Matt Sydal: Carter retained by decision, but Sydal was a second away from winning.

Dan Lambert vs. James Storm: Glass bottles over the head from King Mo, KM and company gave Lambert the win and ended Storm’s GFW career.

Chandler Park w/Joseph Park vs. John Bolin: Thanks to interference from Joseph, Chandler won with a Rollup.

GFW Champion Eli Drake vs. Alberto El Patron: Patron almost won a few times, but Drake nailed Patron with the GFW

If LAX Loses, they Leave Impact: LAX: Santana and Ortiz w/Konnan vs. GFW Impact Tag Team Champions oVe: Jake Crist and Dave Crist: There were spots galore here and these two teams have plenty of chemistry. Definitely one of the best tag matches on Impact in over a year. After Ortiz kicked out of the Street Sweeper, he and Santana hit the maneuver themselves to reclaim the GFW Tag Team Titles.
