NXT Coverage: Gargano Ready For Chance of a Lifetime

Four squash matches hurt the flow of this week’s NXT, but a passionate promo from Johnny Gargano saved it. At this point, he’s the crown jewel of the promotion.

Matches:

Heavy Machinery Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic vs. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss: Heavy Machinery dominates but Miss got the win on Knight with a Rollup- and his feet across the rope for added leverage.

Roderick Strong vs. Fabian Aichner: Strong won with the Stronghold and then called out Lars Sullivan but don’t forget how well Aichner faired in this contest.

Aliyah vs. Lacey Evans: A decent back and forth that saw Evans win with the Jawbreaker and KO-like Punch.

After the match, she confirmed a heel turn but jolted when Shayna Baszler hit the ring. Soon enough, Baszler choked out Aliyah and Ember Moon made the save.

The Street Profits: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins vs. The Authors of Pain: Akam and Rezar w/Paul Ellering: This was essentially a squash as TAOP dominated and won with the Super Collider and The Last Chapter.
