GFW Impact Coverage: Aries Collecting Straps

It’s hard to argue with five matches in two hours and the amount of storyline development GFW offered this week. Sure they rush things and the Grand Championship means nothing, but overall, the show delivered.

Matches:

Petey Williams vs. Taiji Ishimori vs. Suicide vs. Rohit Raju: Williams got the win with the Canadian Destroyer and said he wants an X-Division title shot at Redemption.

Amber Nova vs. Su Yung: A squash as Yung won with the Panic Switch.

Fallah Bahh vs. KM: A mediocre match that saw Matthews get the win although Bach’s foot was on the ropes.

Brian Cage vs. Bobby Lashley: Cage got the win with the Discus Lariat, but these guys brought the power and high flying moves in a great match. There needs to be more between these two.

Impact X-Division and Grand Champion Matt Sydal w/Josh Matthews vs. GFW World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries: Matthews tried to get involved several times but after Sydal missed the Airborne, Aries hit a running Dropkick and finished him off with a Brainbuster.
