Impact Wrestling Coverage: Ladies Leading the Charge

The return of Gail Kim and four solid matches, made up for a weak main event with Homecoming looming.

The Lucha Brothers: Pentagon Jr. and Fenix vs. Rich Swann and Willie Mack: This was a match of the year candidate, even though the Double-Team Wheelbarrow Suplex from Fenix and Pentagon Jr. that got them the win wasn’t perfect. After the encounter LAX hit the ring and challenged the Lucha Bros for Homecoming, to which they accepted.

Jordynne Grace vs. Katarina: Grace picked up the win in their rematch with the Bearhug, but Katarina nearly won with a Tornado DDT and sold well.

Taya Valkyrie vs. Ray Lyn: Valkyrie wins easily with a new STF/Bully Choke variation, while Tessa Blanchard shows up after and beats on Valkyrie before the returning Gail Kim makes the save.

The Rascalz: Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier vs. Chris Bay and Mike Sydal: This was a fun match between two talented young teams. Wentz won with the “assisted” Standing Shooting Star.

Eli Drake vs. Tommy Dreamer: Drake got himself intentionally counted out so the match got restarted with no DQ rules. When the match restarted, Drake got the win when he wrapped a chair around Dreamer’s head and nailed it with an oar.
