NXT UK Coverage: Coffey And Storm Rising

We’re less than a month from NXT TakeOver: Blackpool. The road to the UK division’s first live special is saturated with amazing matches, entertaining storylines and teeming with star power. It’s going to be interesting to see how that card shapes up in the coming weeks.
Matches:
Toni Storm vs. Charlie Morgan: Morgan got a fair bit of offense in until Storm nailed her with Storm Zero for the pinfall victory.
“Flash” Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews vs. Zack Gibson and James Drake: The match started with high energy as the babyfaces hit a flurry of moves. The Modfather took a beating but was eventually able to tag in Andrews. Fabian Aichner ran in and drove Webster into the post. Liverpool’s Number One locked a distracted Andrews into Shankly Gates to tap him out.
Killer Kelly vs. Nina Samuels: The crowd was into this one from the very beginning. Samuels gained control early with a Full Nelson, but Kelly managed to slip out and rock her opponent with a Basement Dropkick. Samuels fought dirty, pulling on the rookie’s pigtail and planting her with an Ushigoroshi for the one-two-three.
Travis Banks vs. Joe Coffey: Banks never got retribution for the mugging he suffered at the hands of Gallus. Tonight he looks for some payback as he steps in the Squared Circle with the “Iron King.” The Kiwi Buzzsaw came out swinging, but Coffey snatched him out of mid-air and swung him bad shoulder first into the barricade. Banks finally found his way back into the match with his vicious brand of offense. Unfortunately, his injured shoulder gave out from blocking a Discuss Lariat, and Coffey capitalized with a second Lariat to pick up the win.
