Review Fix chats with singer/songwriter Lavender Fields, who discusses her new EP and more.
Review Fix: How did your project start?
Lavender Fields: I had a dream about Lavender Fields and woke up under a very strong impression of it, strong enough to make me create Lavender Fields project!
Review Fix: How did you get involved in music?
Lavender Fields: I have been playing classical piano since I was 4 and music has always been a big part of my life. I started producing my own music a few years ago.
Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?
Lavender Fields: Usually I like to wake up in the morning and while still in bed start jamming on guitar, then lyrics come and songs form. Definitely before noon is my most creatively productive time of the dayÂ
Review Fix: What inspires you?
Lavender Fields: Nature, spirituality, peace, people, love and traveling.
Review Fix: What makes this album special?
Lavender Fields: My first song I’ve written and recorded in Russian language. I’ve used modular synth on This EP as well and an electric guitar which are the new instruments in my arsenal.
Review Fix: What’s the standout track?
Lavender Fields: Presence Dub–from my new EP.
Review Fix: What’s on your musical bucket list?
Lavender Fields: Play my music with a symphony. Play Redrocks ampetheater in Colorado. World tour.
