NXT Coverage: Takeover Phoenix Ready

The end segment of this week’s NXT which saw Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa lay waste to Ricochet and Aleister Black was amazing and by itself sold the episode and the upcoming NXT Takeover Phoenix event. Add in three solid matches and it was the best hour on the WWE Network this week.

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan vs. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel: Lots of offense, mainly strikes and suplexes. Lots of fun as both teams put each other over. Nor can got the win with a School Boy on Aichner.

Amber Nova and Tanea Brooks vs. Io Shirai and Kairi Sane: Shirai got the win with the Moonsault variation in a pure enhancement match.

Bobby Fish vs. The Velveteen Dream: Fish dominated, but Dream got the win after he escaped the Knee Bar and hit the Purple Rainmaker.
