Check out this week’s NXT UK Power Rankings to see who’s dominating after the promotion’s first Takeover event.
Honorable Mention: Walter:Â The Ring General commands the audience and a menace in the ring. His ensuing feud with Dunne is going to be something special.Â
5: Dave Mastiff: His impressive win in an absolute slugfest with Eddie Dennis at TakeOver: Blackpool solidifies Mastiff as a mid-card monster with main event potential.
4: Rhea Ripley: Even though she lost her title in Blackpool, the Mosh Pit kid is still a force to be reckoned with and certainly won’t go gently into the night.Â
3: Toni Storm: It’s Toni time. Storm proved she’s no flash in the pan at TakeOver by defeating Ripley in an epic bout. Their inevitable rubber match is going to tear the house down and cement these women as the faces of the division.Â
2: Grizzled Young Veterans: Moustache Mountain and Grizzled Young Veterans went to war last weekend. The pair of James Drake and Zack Gibson managed to become the first NXT UK Tag Team Champions in what was arguably match of the night. Liverpool’s Number One may overshadow his tag team partner, but they’re fantastic as a tandem.Â
1: Pete Dunne: It seems like it’s near impossible for Dunne to have a bad match. Though there was one spot that stood out as awkward, his clash with Joe Coffey was exciting from start to finish. Dunne’s historic title reign will continue, but he has a Berlin Wall sized roadblock ahead of him in the form of the Ring General, Walter.Â
