WWE RAW Coverage: New Tag Team Champions

If this week’s episode was supposed to get you excited for Elimination Chamber, it failed miserably. If Elias’ wacky heel turn, sloppy promo and long-winded matches weren’t enough, Dean Ambrose’s change of tune after months of being pushed as a heel were the nail in the coffin. If not for The Revival’s winning of the RAW Tag Team Championships and Becky Lynch’s anti-apology antics that led to Charlotte Flair being chosen by Vince McMahon as Ronda ROusey’s opponent for Wrestlemania, RAW wouldn’t have even been watchable.

Matches:

Loser Enters Elimination Chamber Match for Women’s Tag Team Titles First: Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka vs. Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan w/Ruby Riott: Lots of offense, but this match dragged. Jax and Snuka got the win on Bayley to force the face team to start The Elimination Chamber.

Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre: With the Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush ringside, Balor won via DQ as Lashley got involved, before Kurt Angle made the save and German Suplexed Lashley and McIntyre and put Rush in the Ankle Lock. Soon enough, Baron Corbin hit the ring to beat on Angle before Braun Strowman attacked the heels.

Baron Corbin, Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre w/Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor, Braun Strowman and Kurt Angle: A lengthy and dull encounter that got restarted after Lashley pinned Falor but the ref didn’t see his leg on the ropes. After the match restarted, Strowman hit the Running Powerslam on Lashley, before Balor got the with the Coupe de Grace.

Ruby Riott vs. Nikki Cross: Riott got the win with the Riott kick in a statement match before her match with Ronda Rousey at Elimination Chamber.
