Capitol Wrestling Coverage: Apple Time Coming

For the second week in a row, Capitol Wrestling fails to live up to the standard left behind from their awesome World War IV episode.

Much like last week’s episode, Capitol continued the mediocre promos but this time added two matches to the mix. Though Capitol presented this week with two matches, unfortunately, both were flat.

Steve Gibki vs. Chaute Kruger: In what should’ve been a squash match, Chaute Kruger actually went toe to toe with Steve Gibki. In an old fashion technical wrestling match, there was nothing that set either wrestler apart.  It was confusing to see what looked like a jobber get a large amount of offense on Gibki. Late in the match, Gibki would get hot with a hard German Suplex and a series of strikes. Gibki would get the pinfall after landing a spinning reverse TKO on Kruger.

Women’s Champion Ariella Nyxx vs.  Nyla Rose: In the better of the two stale matches, Nyxx, and Rose at least tried to give fans in the Capitol Arena a decent match. Rose basically dominated the match through and through with little offense from Nyxx. The moments when Nyxx would get some offense is when her manager Porsha Vaughn would get involved and cause a distraction. Throughout the whole match, Nyxx’s personal ring announcer Beautiful Buckley would chant her name obnoxiously through the microphone. When Rose went for a Powerbomb on Nyxx, Vaughn grabbed and pinned down Rose’s legs from the outside causing Nyxx to land on Rose with enough leverage for the three count win.

The show ended with a quick promo from Capitol Wrestling’s Heavyweight Champion Matt Macintosh. Macintosh expressed his impact on Capitol wrestling since becoming champ and his lack of interest in having to face KC Navarro in next week’s main event.
