NXT Coverage: Dusty Would Be Proud

With the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic underway, this week’s NXT showcased the deep duo division.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Aleister Black and Ricochet vs. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel: Lots of fun spots here. This was one of the best opening matches on NXT this year. After a slew of two-counts, Black won with the Black Mass on Barthel.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. The Forgotten Sons: Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler w/Jaxson Ryker: Another great back and forth that ended when Blake and Cutler hit the Double Stomp/Reverse DDT Combination.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: The Street Profits: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins vs. Moustache Mountain: Tyler Bate and Trent Seven: After Ford got smoked with a Dragon Suplex from Seven, Dawkins got pinned with the Torture Rack Double Stomp.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Undisputed Era: Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly vs. DIY: NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano: This was an absolute match of the year candidate. These teams were evenly matched as they come, but after Fish got cleared out of the ring, Ciampa and Gargano met in the middle with the Running Knee/Super Kick on O’Reilly for the win.
