C. Wired – Baby Prime Becomes Baby Blue Single Review: Strong Vocals Stand Alone

There is something to be said about the musicianship of C. Wired. He is able to mix a dreamy, blissful aesthetic with his powerful vocals well. In his previous releases, the vocal power has been backed up by a deep and thoughtful instrumental to make his voice explode on each and every track.

Hius newest single, Baby Prime Becomes Baby Blue, however, takes a different approach to his signature style. The end result, if nothing else, proves his versatility as a singer.

Baby Prime Becomes Baby Blue has a nice dreamy intro accompanied by the acoustic guitar. The deep and slow percussions also add a surprising amount of depth to the track. The focal point here is the vocals of C. Wired and his affinity to create a smooth sound with his deep and powerful vocal range. The dreamy, slow aesthetic persists throughout and shows off a different side of C. Wired.

Ultimately, Baby Prime Becomes Baby Blue is a polarizing track. On one hand, it is a side of the artist we have not seen. Make no mistake, he’s not about to live and die on the style many know him for. The distinct lack of his signature rock and roll twist shows us the full power of the strong vocals at work. On the other hand, fans of earlier works may find this different. While not an inferior track, Baby Prime Becomes Baby Blue is a track that takes him in another direction as a performer, one that feels far more capable to do the things he did so well in his previous work.
