AEW Dynamite Results: A Solid Start

For the first time in nearly twenty years, Professional Wrestling is back on TNT. No company has posed as great a threat to WWE’s titan status as All Elite Wrestling since WCW in the Monday Night Wars. The premier of Dynamite marks a new period in Wrestling history, and it’s an amazing time to be a fan.

Matches:

Cody w/Brandi Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara: Cody and Sammy tore it up for nearly fifteen minutes to kick the show off. Guevara gave it everything he had and took Rhodes to his limit. However, Cody got his knees up to prevent a Shooting Star Press and rolled the high flyer up for three.

Brandon Cutler vs. MJF: Cutler tried to go high but a bum knee forced him back to the ground. MJF capitalized by locking Cutler in the Salt of the Earth Armbar to tap him out.

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. “The Bastard” PAC: The Bastard kicked Hangman in the family jewels while the ref had his back turned. PAC followed up with a Black Arrow into a Brutalizer to hand Page a loss on the premiere episode of Dynamite.

Inaugural AEW Women’s Championship Match: “The Native Beast” Nyle Rose vs. Riho: Riho’s agility and cunning proved to be a match for the Native Beast’s strength and size. The Joshi Puroresu star took the beating of a lifetime but capitalized on an opening and put Rose down with a Running Meteora to become the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion.

The Elite: Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks: Nick and Matt Jackson vs. Santana, Ortiz and the AEW World Champion: Chris Jericho: Jon Moxley snuck up on Omega and they brawled to the back, removing the Cleaner from the equation. The Bucks couldn’t beat the numbers game and a Judas Effect from Jericho sealed the deal. Amidst the chaos of the post-match brawl the former Jack Swagger, now Jake Hager hopped the barricade and laid waste to the Elite.
