NXT Coverage: Ladies Night

Drama with The Undisputed Era continued on a decent episode of NXT that lacked the sizzle of this week’s AEW. While still better than this week’s RAW, this was the slowest moving NXT since the move to the USA Network.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush vs. Angel Garza: Rush won with two Frog Splashes, but Garza has an argument for a rematch as his leg was until the rope during the referee’s pinfall.

Xia Li vs. Aliyah w/Vanessa Borne: Li won with a Roundhouse that destroyed Aliyah’s face.

Keith Lee vs. Roderick Strong: Roddy was solid, but Lee won with he Supernova in the non-title bout.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Bronson Reed: Reed was a supplex machine, but Scott outlasted him in a match that should be the beginning of a solid mid-card rivalry.

Killian Dane vs. Pete Dunne: Damian Priest got involved in turn this into a no-contest.

Ladder Match: Mia Yim vs. Io Shirai: Interference from Dakota Kai and Kay Lee Ray turned this into a mess that allowed Shirai to get the win. Appearances from Shayna Baszler and Bayley after the bell only furthered the debacle.
