AEW Dynamite Coverage: DDP Killed It

Dynamite was stacked this week. It was an especially nice treat to see 63 year old “Diamond” Dallas Page compete in his first match since 2016. With Revolution only weeks away, AEW is white hot.

AEW Tag Team Championship Number One Contender’s Four-Way Match: Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Santana and Ortiz vs. Best Friends: Trent and Chuck Taylor w/ “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. The Young Bucks: Nick and Matt Jackson: Hangman and Omega scored a big win with an unintentional assist from the Young Bucks. 

The Nightmare Collective: Brandi Rhodes and Mel w/ Luther vs. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida: Statlander drilled Mel with a Big Bang to put away the Nightmare Collective. 

“Spanish God” Sammy Guevara vs. Jon Moxley: Mox caught Guevara in a Rear Naked Choke and forced him to tap out. After the bell, the rest of Inner Circle taught Moxley a lesson for the mistake of refusing to join the faction. 

 The Butcher and The Blade w/ The Bunny and MJF w/ Wardlow vs. “Diamond” Dallas Page, “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes, and QT Marshall: Diamond popped the crowd by diving off the top rope but in all the confusion MJF took the opportunity to roll up Marshall for the victory.

“The Bastard” Pac vs. Darby Allin: Darby was all heart in this matchup but Pac managed to hit the Black Arrow, sending him to Jericho’s Rock n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea to face Jon Moxley to determine the Number One Contender to the AEW World Championship.
