WWE RAW Coverage: Thank You Edge, Goddamn You Orton

A huge card did little to spice up an episode of RAW that needed to be a lot more exciting than it was. Filler matches and little in way of storytelling doomed it from the start. Away from an appearance from Edge and the massive beating Randy Orton put on him to end the show, this week’s RAW was absolutely passable.

Matches:

Drew McIntyre vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: McIntyre got the win with a pair of Claymores.

Rey Mysterio vs. MVP: Mysterio got the win with the 619 and Frog Splash in a pretty standard encounter.

Alister Black vs. Kenneth Johnson: Black nearly kicked the former Cruiserweight Classic performer’s head off with the Black Mass.

WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: Buddy Murphy and Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens: Murphy got the win on Owens with a School Boy after Joe was taken out of the equation.

United States Champion Andrade w/ Zelina Vega vs. Humberto Carillo: Vega got involved to get the challenger the win via DQ, but after the match, Carrillo hit Andrade with the Hammerlock DDT on the outside.

No Way Jose vs. 24/7 Champion Mojo Rawley w/ Riddick Moss:  Rawley got the quick win with the Fireman Wasteland variation, but R-Truth snuck in after to take the belt back. However, thanks to Moss, Rawley won it back with the same maneuver he won the match with earlier.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka w/Kairi Sane vs. Charlotte Flair: Sane got involved in this one to throw it out. Flair gets the last laugh as she nails Sane with the Big Boot.

Lana vs. Liv Morgan: Morgan got the win with the modified Downward Spiral.

Erick Rowan vs. Branden Vice: Pure squash that saw Rowan win with a modified Jackhammer and then the Iron Claw.
