AEW Dynamite Results: Cody Rules

Dynamite was even more explosive than usual this week with a Battle Royal, a Tag Team Championship Match, and to top it off, the first-ever Steel Cage Match in AEW history.

Matches:

AEW World Tag Team Championship Number One Contender Battle Royal: Matt Jackson had to go the distance without his brother but somehow managed to overpower Santana and Ortiz in the end. He superkicked his way to send himself and Nick to Revolution to face Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Page for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Kris Statlander vs. Shanna: Shanna ate a Big Bang Theory to fall to the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien.

Jon Moxley vs. Jeff Cobb: Mox got a sneaky win over Cobb but naturally, Inner Circle took the opportunity to beat him down. Dustin Rhodes ran in and went after Hager but couldn’t even the odds. A returning Darby Allin and his skateboard managed that feat, and with a huge pop from the crowd to boot.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Lucha Bros.: Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix vs. The AEW World Tag Team Champions: Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page: Page tagged himself in while Fenix wasn’t looking and took the chance to nail him in the back of the head with a Buckshot Lariat/ V-Trigger combo to retain their titles.

Steel Cage Match: “The American Nightmare” Cody w/ Brandi Rhodes and Arn Anderson vs. Wardlow w/ MJF: Cody threw caution to the wind and hit a Moonsault off the top of the cage to end the match and pick up the Pinfall Victory. Now it’s all about getting his hands on MJF at Revolution.
