AEW Dynamite Results: Poor Cody

The main event this week was hard to watch as MJF whipped Cody ten times with his own belt, and then kicked him in the family jewels to add insult to injury.  The American Nightmare took it like a champ though, and is on his way to finally getting his revenge at Revolution.

Matches:

Jon Moxley vs. Ortiz w/ Santana: The rest of Inner Circle sat in on Commentary to watch Mox plant Ortiz with a Paradigm Shift to earn the pinfall victory. As expected though, Santana tried to jump Moxley after the bell but ate a Paradigm Shift himself and then a car key to the eye as payment for the injury that Jericho gave Mox.

SCU: Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky vs. Best Friends: Trent and Chuck Taylor w/ Orange Cassidy: SCU got the win when Trent and Taylor went for Strong Zero too early and Sky was able to pull the Kentucky Gentleman off the ropes and hit Trent with a Drop Kick/ Sunset Flip Bomb. Dark Order spoiled their celebration, though, and jumped the two teams. Christopher Daniels hit the ring to make the save and Dark Order backed off.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. vs. Yuka Sakazaki: Sakazaki got the upset with a Crucifix Roll-Up. Baker responded by clocking the newcomer with the bell and Curb Stomping her while she bit the bottom rope and knocked a tooth out.

The Butcher and The Blade w/ The Bunny and The Lucha Bros. Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr. vs. The Young Bucks: Nick and Matt Jackson and The AEW World Tag Team Champions: Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page: Page’s arrogance cost them the match when he refused to tag one of the Bucks, allowing the Lucha Bros. to hit him with a Penta Driver/ Double Stomp combo for the win.

“Superbad” Kip Sabian w/ Penelope Ford vs. “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela: Sabian got Janela with a Roll-Up and a fist full of tights for good measure.
