NXT UK Results: Picks From the Best

Last week was a highlight reel of NXT UK’s brief history. This week, a few of the roster members share some of their favorite matches with us.

Picks:

“Bomber” Dave Mastiff: Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid at Madison Square Garden 8/30/1982: The Puroresu legend scored the win in the Mecca of Pro Wrestling with a gorgeous Moonsault.

Kenny Williams: NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match: Kenny Williams and Noam Dar vs. the NXT UK Tag Team Champions: Grizzled Young Veterans: Zack Gibson and James Drake 5/8/2019: Williams’ pick was a personal one, that saw him team up with Supernova 11 to challenge GYV for their NXT UK Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, it was a losing effort. Drake followed up Gibson’s Helter Skelter with a 450 Splash to retain the belts.

Ligero: NXT UK Women’s Champion: Kay Lee Ray vs. Tegan Nox: Ligero’s pick was a grudge match between Ray and Nox that was made when the Champ took umbrage to the Cardiffian overshadowing her on her grand return from injury. KLR made her opponent pay when she got the pinfall victory with a Gory Bomb.

A-Kid: William Regal vs. Antonio Cesaro 12/25/13: The Spaniard chose a match from NXT’s infancy when Regal took on the Swiss Cyborg on Christmas day. The veteran reminded everyone just how good he is, but eventually fell to a Neutralizer.
