NXT Results: Thatcher Chokes Out The Bro

A bunch of solid matches ensured NXT wasn’t passable, but with no Finn Balor, Keith Lee or Adam Cole, the show was void of star power.

Matches:

Cruiserweight Title Tournament: Drake Maverick vs. Kushida vs. Jake Atlas: This was a fun one, with an awesome finish that saw Drake Maverick steal the win and advance to the Cruiserweight Title Tournament.

Adrian Alanis vs. Johnny Gargano: Johnny Wrestling got the quick win with the Gargano No Escape.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Raquel Gonzalez: This one got spicy as Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox and Candice LeRae allowed Gonzalez to get the win with the Powerslam.

Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley vs. NXT Women’s Champion: Charlotte Flair and Chelsea Green w/Robert Stone: This was a fun one that saw Flair win with her feet on the ropes. Perhaps that was a move she should have used against Bayley on Smackdown last week?

Leon Ruff vs. Tommaso Ciampa: Ciampa made quick work of Ruff with the Fairy Tale Ending.

Matt Riddle vs. Timothy Thatcher: Kurt Angle did a solid job as guest referee and watched as Thatcher won with the Rear-Naked Choke.
