AEW Dark Results: Hefty, Hefty, Hefty

Dark went back to the usual bloated card, despite last week’s excellent show. As usual, though, the action was solid.

Matches:

Lee Johnson vs, Rey Fenix: Fenix scored the win with the modified Muscle Buster Driver despite Lee’s best efforts.

Shawn Spears w/ Tully Blanchard vs. Alex Chamberlain: Spears overcame the size difference with his experience and hit the C4 running Death Valley Driver for the pinfall victory. After the bell, he loaded up the glove and cracked Chamberlain with a stiff right.

M’Badu and “The Captain” Shawn Dean vs. The Gunn Club: Billy and Austin Gunn: Austin showed up and dropped the Captain with an Arm Drag Cutter to pick up the win.

Michael “Marvelous” Stevens” vs. “Superbad” Kip Sabian w/ Penelope Ford: Stevens’ impressed Tony Schiavone in his debut but Sabian came away with the win with a rope-hung twisting Neckbreaker.

Private Party: Isiah Kassidy and Mark Quen vs. Griff Garrison and Brian PIllman Jr.: Private Party were all over Garrison and Pillman. Eventually, Garrison found himself on the receiving end of a Leg Drop/ Frog Splash combination to put the match away and give Private Party the win.

Jurassic Express: Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt vs. Corey Hollis, Pineapple Pete, and Aaron Solow: Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus set Pete up with a pair of shots to the head and Stunt followed up with a 450 Splash for the pinfall decision.

The Hybrid Two: Angelico and Jack Evans vs. The Natural Nightmares: “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall w/ Brandi Rhodes and Allie: Marshall popped Evans up with a QT Special and Rhodes put him down with the Final Cut.

Rachael Ellering vs. Penelope Ford: Ellering’s overwhelming power wasn’t enough to keep the Superbad Girl down. Ford dished out an onslaught of punishment, with a Handspring Cutter and finally a Fisherman’s Suplex for the win.

SCU: “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian vs. The Butcher and The Blade: BnB were able to isolate CD and break him in half with Full Death to earn a huge pinfall victory.
