Review Fix Exclusive: More More!’s Thomas Eldrige Wiebe Talks Origin And Goals

Review Fix Editor-In-Chief Patrick Hickey Jr chats with More!’s Thomas Eldrige Wiebe to find out about the band’s origin and goals for the rest of 2020.

Review Fix: How did the band form?:

Thomas Eldrige Wiebe: After a particularly brutal night of mescaline and fast cars, I got into a fight with a tiny man named Dan “Marmor”. I was in such a state that I swore he said “MoreMore”. Turns out the tiny man played bass. More! More! Was born.

Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?

Wiebe: It’s like fighting with cats, sometimes you get scratched sometimes they purr. Either way it’s a little weird you know what I mean?

Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?

Wiebe: Blast This Song With The Windows Down is the latest tune we have released. I would say it stands out. It was written under a kitchen cabinet at midnight. It was also written during a road trip. Much blasting and windows being downed went into the process and after it went through the forge of creativity it emerged a delectable bit of sonic goodness. We channeled cars, rock and roll and a dash of good times.

Review Fix: What are your goals for 2020?

Wiebe: Stay alive, avoid the plague. Watch the orange man burn.

Review Fix: How do you want your music to affect people?

Wiebe: It should be like a punch to the face of pure party potion. Make you want to boogie.

Review Fix: Tell us about the new video!

Wiebe: The power of friendship combined with extreme isolation. This quarantine curiosity really tickled the senses! With limited budget but unlimited potential, we made something fun in a time that was not so fun.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Wiebe: Just keep making the magic baby! Thanks for the chat!
