WWE RAW Coverage: A Disaster

The lackluster debut of RAW Underground and push of Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin, as well as the three or four meaningless shoot matches that took place on RAW this week, is proof WWE Creative hasn’t a clue. They’re currently looking for an Assistant Writer, for a reason. While the in-ring work was solid- and Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton have a ton of chemistry, RAW is in such a downward spiral that it appears incapable of being fixed. The return of Shane McMahon did little as well to help.

Matches:

United States Champion Apollo Crews vs. MVP w/Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley: Crews fought hard through “lighting issues,” which had to do with a new faction apparently. Crews won with the Powerbomb variation.

Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan vs. The IIconics: Peyton Royce and Billie Kay: Morgan won with a Rollup and although Royce and Kay beat on Morgan, Riott made the save.

Akira Tozawa w/The Ninjas vs. 24/7 Champion Shelton Benjamin w/MVP and Bobby Lashley vs. R-Truth: Tozawa stole the match and the title with a Rollup.

Shayna Baszler w/Asuka vs. RAW Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks w/Smackdown Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion: Bayley and Asuka got involved to turn this into a DQ, but Asuka ended ups ith a shot at Bayley next week because of it.

RAW Tag Team Champions: The Street Profits: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins vs. Angel Garza and Andrade w/Zelina Vega in a pair of singles matches: Garza beat Dawkins with a Dropkick Stomp of sorts and Ford was apparently poisoned and lost to Andrade.
