Review Fix Exclusive: Chaoseum’s Valery Veings Discusses Origin in Music And More

Review Fix chats with Chaoseum’s Valery Veings, who discusses the band’s origin and goals moving forward.

Review Fix: How did the project start?

Valery Veings: Loïc and I founded Chaoseum in January 2018. Our first intention was playing on stage. We asked Lola and Greg to join us. In February 2019 after our US tour, we decided to change our singer and asked CK to join us.

Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?

Veings: Now, Loic and CK write the instrumental main part. For the lyrics, sometimes is just a Sci-Fi and sometimes that comes from our personal experience. We recorded the final version and after we play this song all together.

Review Fix: What are your goals for 2020?

Veings: We released a new video «Stick Under My Yakin» a few days ago. The new album «Second Life» will be out on September 25th with a release party in Switzerland. We will play some gigs in our country before the end of this year.

Review Fix: How do you want your music to affect people?

Veings: I hope that the public spend a good time during our concert. And if people appreciate our music or lyrics when they listen to it, I’m happy to be a part of this moment. We don’t talk about religion and politics. Our music is entertainment and I think it’s the role of what we do.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Veings: Our European tour was postponed in autumn 2021 due to COVID-19. We will play some gigs around us and write some news songs.
