NXT Halloween Havoc Coverage: Shirai Survives, Gargano Steals NA Title

Five excellent matches and plenty of fun promo made sure that Halloween Havoc was a great investment of two hours. While it’s a shame that there was no Finn Balor on the card, NXT continues to get by thanks to plenty of depth.

Matches:

NXT North American Champion Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano: This was an absolute war that Gargano needed a Tombstone and help from a masked man to end the NA Title reign of Priest.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar w/Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza vs. Jake Atlas: Escobar won quickly thanks to the help of his stablemates, putting the talented Atlas away with the Phantom Driver.

Haunted House of Terror: Cameron Grimes vs. Dexter Lumis: This was a wacky one, that saw Lumis win with The Silencer.

Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez w/Dakota Kai: Ripley won with The Riptide, but Gonzalez dominated at times.

NXT Women’s Title Tables, Ladders & Scares: NXT Women’s Champion: Io Shirai vs. Candice LeRae: The masked figure from Gargano’s match almost cost Shirai the Title, but the Empress of the Sky was able to grab her belt and retain her title.
