WWE RAW Coverage: Fiend is Hungry

There’s a new WWE Champion in Randy Orton, but RAW was too busy building Survivor Series buzz and the mid-card to give Orton the time necessary to get his reign started in style. Sure, a program with Bray Wyatt is sexy, but Orton deserved some promo by himself and even a squash encounter to show the world he wasn’t going to be a transition champion. The way it looks now, Orton is about to have his mind derailed by Wyatt, before his title is taken.

Matches:

Survivor Series Qualifying Match: AJ Styles w/Jordan vs. Jeff Hardy: This was a solid one, but Styles’ associate played a role again, as The Phenomenal One was able to capitalize and win with the Slingshot Forearm. After the match, Elias took out Hardy with a guitar.

Lucha House Party: Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik vs. Drew Gulak and Akira Tozawa: Dorado won the Tag Team Match, but this was all about everyone trying to win R-Truth’s 24/7 title.

Survivor Series Qualifying Match: Elias vs. Keith Lee: A distraction from Jeff Hardy allowed Lee to win with the Spirit Bomb. After the match, Jeff Hardy nailed Elias with a guitar.

Eight-Man Elimination: The Hurt Business: United States Champion Bobby Lasley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander vs. Retribution: Mustafa Ali, Dio Maddin, Shane Thorne and Dominik Dijakovic: Ali was left all alone with Alexander and Benjamin, but got himself DQed after he took out Alexander with a chair.

Drew McIntyre vs. The Miz w/John Morrison: Interference from Morrison couldn’t help The Miz, who ate a Claymore.

Fatal Four-Way: Winner Gets Added to Survivor Series Team: Nikki Cross vs. Lana vs. Peyton Royce vs. Lacey Evans: Royce appeared ready to win but Lana stole the win to join the Survivor Series team before Nia Jax once again Samoan Dropped her through the announce table.

Survivor Series Qualifying Match: Sheamus vs. Matt Riddle: This was a hard-fight bout, but Sheamus got the win with the Brogue Kick.
