NXT Coverage: Weak Go Home Before the War

No Finn Balor, little in terms of building drama before War Games made this a flat episode of NXT.

Damian Priest and NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff vs. Raul Mendoza and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar: Ruff got the win with the Splash as he and Priest kept blind-tagging each other in.

August Gray vs. Cameron Grimes: Grimes got the quick win with the Cave In.

Jake Atlas vs. Tony Nese: This was a match that Atlas needed. He won with the Cartwheel DDT and promised this was just the beginning.

The Grizzled Young Veterans Zach Gibson and James Drake vs. Imperium: Fabian Eichner and Marcel Barthel: This ended up in a no-contest after Ever-Rise got involved and got crushed by both teams.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Raquel Gonzalez: Blackheart was able to get the briefcase to secure a spot on the War Games team before a riot broke out to end the show.
