AEW Dynamite Coverage: The Pain Maker Rises

Fight for the Fallen felt like a PPV. From start to finish, there wasn’t a dull moment. Chris Jericho’s match with Nick Gage was a special one on TV and the promise of a match with Juventud Guerrera could be a fun throwback. Away from that, attention to the entire roster and almost every feud made it an episode that made the entire company shine.

Matches:

10 Man Elimination: The Dark Order: Hangman Page, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds vs. The Elite: AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega, AEW Tag Team Champions Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson and Impact Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows w/Don Callis, Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa: As expected, Page was the last member of the Dark Order left and Omega and The Bucks beat on him. They couldn’t put him down though. Page worked his ass off in a three-on-one situation and got the crowd going.

Once Page was able to eliminate Nick, Omega tried to take him out with a title and succeeded the second time, but still couldn’t put him away. A pair of V-Triggers and then The One-Winged Angel however gave Omega the win.

FTR: Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler w/Tully Blanchard vs. Santana and Ortiz w/Konnan: Great back and forth that saw Hardwood win with the Brainbuster on Ortiz.

IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer vs. Hikuleo w/Meng: Although Meng played a role and the young Bullet Club member held his own, Archer won with the Black Out.

Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Jungle Jack Perry vs. Private Party: Isiah Cassidy, Marr Quen and Angelico w/Matt Hardy: After a Luchasaurus Chokeslam, Cage won with the Frog Splash, but Blade took him out with Brass Knuckles to end the match.

Julia Hart w/The Varsity Blonds: Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Thunder Rosa: Hart has heart, but Rosa won with the Fire Thunder Driver.

Nick Gage vs. Chris Jericho: Gage used the pizza cutter a few times and busted open Gage, was the Judas Effect put down MDK. After the match, MJF told Jericho he’ll have to win his next match off the top rope and against Juventud Guerrera.
