When Rob Liefeld is finally given the chance to tackle his own new launch title, he takes his team of unlinkely outcast mercenaries to the second best-selling comic of all time. However, as his star power increased, so did tension between himself and Marvel over royalty disputes for use of his artwork on merchandise. The very catalyst that would be the first step Rob would take towards a new future in comics. A new competitor. That competitor being the now infamous Image comics.Â
