NXT Coverage: Joe Ready to Reign Again

The first NXT after Takeover 36 was a solid one, with plenty of fresh matchups and new faces, as well as the faction warfare that has been fueling the mid-card for the last month.

Matches:

Timothy Thatcher w/ Tommaso Ciampa vs. Ridge Holland w/ Pete Dunne: Holland got the win with the Powerslam variation. After the match, Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Birch beat on Ciampa and Thatcher.

Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro vs. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne: Carter and Catanzaro got the win with the Neckbreaker/450 but after the match, Mandy Rose had words for the losers.

Kay Lee Ray vs. Valentina Feroz: Ray won in a squash thanks to a Super Kick and the Gory Bomb.

NXT Breakout Tournament: Carmelo Hayes vs. Odyssey Jones: Jones dominated, but Hayes stole the win with a Crucifix.

Boa vs. Xyon Quinn: Quinn got the win with the Running Double Axe Handle in an encounter that saw Boa distracted by his stablemates.

Hit Row: Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Top Dolla vs. Legado del Fantasma: Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza and Santos Escobar: As always, this was as evenly matched as they come, but LDF got Electra Lopez to get involved and he paid dividends with a steel pipe. That allowed Escobar to steal the win over Scott with a Rollup.
