NXT Coverage: The End of an Era

The Black and Gold era is over and despite some good in-ring action, it went out sadly, with a whimper. This brand has been the glue of the WWE for years. It deserved far better.

Matches:

Ember Moon vs. Kay Lee Ray: A war. These two need to go again. Although Ray won with the Gory Bomb, Moon put her over well too.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Santos Escobar w/Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde: Interference from Electra Lopez allowed Escobar to win with The Phantom Driver.

Brutus and Julius Creed vs. Local Jobbers: The Brothers Creed decimated their opponents with a Piledriver/Lariat combination.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Zoey Stark and Io Shirai vs. Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter: Shirai won with the Moonsault and after the tough match, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne and a masked Mandy Rose attacked the losers.

Mei Ying vs. Virginia Ferry: King got the quick win with The Mandible Claw.

NXT Tag Team Champions MSK: Wes Lee and Nash Carter vs. Oney Lorcan and Danny Birch: If this is Lorcan and Birch’s last match in NXT, it was a banger. They lost to the Blockbuster from MSK and were destroyed by Ridge Holland and Pete Dunne backstage after the bell.
