AEW capped off the two-year anniversary of Dynamite with a slew of great matches, the return of Hangman Page and an announcement by Tony Khan that added another title, The TBS Title, to the company, Dynamite continues to over-perform.
Impact World Champion Christian Cage, Brian Danielson and Jurassic Express: Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy w/Mario Stunt vs. AEW Champion Kenny Omega, Adam Cole and The Young Bucks: Matt and Nick Jackson w/Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakasawa: Jungle Boy did a ton of the heavy lifting but the Bucks took out Christian with an assisted Piledriver on the outside and that changed the tone of the match entirely. Eventually however, Danielson got Omega one on one and the faces got back into the match. Luchasaurus then went on a tear and Jungle Boy hit a series of spots. In the end though, the Super Elite isolated Jungle Boy and Danielson, ending the encounter with a Four-Way This was a great opening match.
TNT Champion Sammy Guevara vs. Bobby Fish: Guevara got the win, but American Top Team destroyed him before Jake Hager and Chris Jericho hit the ring to even things out. These two factions are ready for war.
Darby Allin w/Sting vs. Nick Comorato w/The Factory: QT Marshall and Aaron Solo: Allin made a statement in the quick win and after the bell, Marshall hit Sting with a Diamond Cutter, but Sting no-sold it and hit the Scorpion Death Drop.
Hikaru Shida vs. Serena Deeb: Shida was awesome, but Deeb took it to another level and won with Serenity. After the match, she nailed Shida over the head with Shida’s 50th win trophy.
Casino Ladder Match: Hangman Page vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Pac vs. Andrade El Idolo vs. Lance Archer: Another wonderful match with spots and offense galore. Page returning as The Joker was a fun twist. It came down to Page and Moxley on top of the ladder and although a wacky end as Moxley fell to the floor, Page got the win to get a AEW Title shot.
