NXT Coverage: Surprising Finishes

A slew of surprising finishes capped off a fun week of NXT 2.0.


NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Grayson Waller: Waller was more than effective as the cocky young heel but he lost via Widow’s Heel and the Fairy Tale Ending.

Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter vs. Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta: Catanzaro won with the assisted Splash in a match that will put a spike through the relationship of the losers.

Santos Escobar vs. Malik Blade: Escobar quickly won with The Phantom Driver.

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. Cora Jade: With lots of faces getting involved, Jade was able to stack up Rose for the win.

Ivy Nile vs. Yulisa Leon: A squash that saw Nile win with a Dragon Sleeper.

Grizzled Young Veterans: Zack Gibson and James Drake vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen: Wild. GYV got squashed by the rookies.

NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne: Interference from Tony D’Angelo helped Hayes hold on to the strap. Before the show ended, Bron Breaker and Ciampa squared off to tease War Games.
