Review Fix Exclusive: Kevin Delgado Talks Tuff Stuff Kickstarter And More

Review Fix chats with Tuff Stuff creator Kevin Delgado, who discusses the comic and its current Kickstarter.

Head to the Kickstarter, Here.

Review Fix: What makes this Kickstarter special?

Kevin Delgado: This Kickstarter is special because if successful it adds a bit of legitimacy to your independently produced comic.  There is a level of excitement as a creator that also reaches out to the audience, is it going to get funded?  What kind of surprises lay ahead? How far can we reach?  What stretch goals will occur?  Basically the better the campaign does the better all around package I can deliver.  The first Tuff Stuff KS over delivered so now I have to top that so as a backer you are in for a treat.

Review Fix: How has this comic evolved?

Delgado: The story is big, way bigger.  The cast is larger, the scope and the stakes are greater, the action is more actiony and the comedy is funnier.

Review Fix: How would you explain the plot to someone who mighty be interested?

Delgado: Tuff Stuff is in a downward spiral and is appointed to court ordered rehabilitation.  Meanwhile evil forces plot to fill the power void left by the demise of Danny Dyngus at the end of Tuff Stuff.  Tuff Stuff will need to overcome his own issues once and for all and save Sol Dia Beach once again.

Review Fix: What’s your favorite reward on this Kickstarter?

Delgado: “Draw me like one of your french girls” originated with the previous KS and turned out to be the most backed reward.  For a small backing I will draw your likeness into the book and you get a holofoil cover version of the book included!  I tend to get creative, savage, funny and otherwise entertaining when drawing my friends into my books.

Review Fix: Sell us! Why should someone back you?

Delgado: You should back this KS based on the success of the first.  The acclaim for it was outstanding and I am going to do my best to top it!  On top of that, I am really trying to push boundaries and provide a classic and timeless story that is equally entertaining.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Delgado: A joint project with fellow creator Nick Alcorn, I will be writing and coloring the project.

Review Fix: Anything else you’d like to add?

Delgado: Thank you for checking this out and please please please keep continue to support independent creators!  Making comics is not an easy job, making GOOD comics is even harder.
