NXT Results: Breakker Taps Out Ciampa

The Unification of the North American and Cruiserweight Titles, some fun promo and an excellent main event made sure New Year’s Evil was solid.

Unification: NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes w/Trick Williams vs. NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong w/Malcom Bivens: This was a war and one of the best matches in the history of NXT 2.0. Although Hayes got the win with the Too Rope Leg Drop, Strong was fantastic here as well.

Riddle and MSK: Wes Lee and Nash Carter vs. Imperium: Walter, Fabian Eichner and Marcel Barthel: Another match with a ton of near-falls and offense. Riddle got the win with the RKO on Barthel.

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. Raquel Gonzalez vs. Cora Jade: A wild finish allowed Rose to retain with a Victory Roll.

NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Bron Breakker: Another war. Either man could have won this won but Breakker got the submission win with the Steiner Recliner.
