Amazing Spider-Man # 101 “A Monster Called Morbius” Writer: Roy Thomas Penciler: Gil Kane Inker: Frank Giacoia Letterer: Artie Simek Amazing Spider-Man #101 Volume 1 titled ‘A Monster Called Morbius!’ was another Marvel classic to be published in October 1971. The editor-in-chief was Stan Lee, with Gil Kane, John Romita, and Artie Simek as the joint cover artists. Roy Thomas and Frank Giacoia were the writer and Inker, respectively. This is one of the earliest editions to introduce horror-style villains of the 70s and the first to feature Morbius The Living Vampire to Marvel Comics. Just in time for the upcoming Sony film titled after the same character, we examine the origins of Marvels most savage vampire. Enjoy!
