NXT Coverage: Ready for a House Party

The drama between Bron Breakker and Joe Gacy and the Women’s Breakout Tournament fueled this week’s NXT action.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams vs. Solo Sikoa and NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes: Williams and Hayes talked a lot and hung in there, but Sikoa beat Hayes with the Flying Solo and Splash after Grimes nailed Williams with the Cave In.

Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round: Lash Legend vs. Tatum Paxley: Legend won over a tough Paxley with a blah Brogue Kick variation.

The Creed Brothers: Julius and Brutus w/Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp vs. The Viking Raiders Erik and Ivar: These two teams tore down the house. Strong got involved and it backfired as Julius intercepted him and soon enough Julius got crushed with a Double Chokeslam.

Andre Chase w/Bodhi Hayward vs. Grayson Waller: Chase was solid but Waller picked his spot and won with a Stunner.

Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round: Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James: Perez won with the Corner Code Red after James held her own for most of the match.

Nathan Frazier vs. Wes Lee: Best match of the Night as these two had serious Impact 2005 X-Division vibes with all the speed and counters. Von Wagner interrupted the match however and destroyed both competitors.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Santos Escobar: Lots of back and forth here. Escobar dominated the longest before D’Angelo evened things up with three Belly-to-Belly Suplexes. Escobar hit a beautiful top rope Hurricanrana but soon enough everyone got involved and Escobar won with the Loaded Fist.
