Review Fix chats with veteran publicist Raquel Perazzo about her Etsy shop, TRRTeeDesign and her love of creation.

Review Fix: Considering your background in media, how did you get into this business?

Raquel Perazzo: My journey into owning my own Etsy store that specializes in pop culture and original graphic designs for holidays and special occasions was driven by my passion for both media and creativity. Along with my Partner and Friend, Tamara Argueta, also a veteran in the publicity industry, we explored different avenues within the media industry, we realized the immense potential in combining our skills and interests. 

The concept of creating unique and visually engaging products that celebrate pop culture and special occasions felt like a natural progression. It allowed us to leverage our media knowledge to effectively market and promote our Etsy store. 

Moreover, we saw an opportunity to connect with a diverse and enthusiastic online community of enthusiasts and individuals looking for personalized, creative solutions for their celebrations. This fusion of our media background with our passion for design has been incredibly fulfilling, enabling us to not only express our creativity but also connect with like-minded individuals who appreciate and enjoy our work. In essence, it’s been a journey that merges our professional background with our personal creative drive, resulting in a business that brings joy and artistic expression to others.

Review Fix: What do you get out of this that your 9-5 doesn’t provide?

Perazzo: Entrepreneurship offers a unique dimension beyond our regular 9-5 jobs. As small business owners, it allows us to apply our skill set in fresh and innovative ways, presenting opportunities to tackle novel challenges head-on.

Review Fix: What makes your products different from similar ones on the web?

Perazzo: What makes our Etsy store truly different is the fusion of our culture, passion, originality, quality and customer-centric approach. Our items are a direct reflection of our personal passions that we want to share with the world. We strive to offer more than just products; we provide memorable experiences that add a touch of creativity and joy to every celebration and special moment. We reach out to each customer and give them an approachable experience to add a comfort level unmeasured by others. 

Review Fix: What’s your favorite product you have in your store?

Perazzo: Our favorite product in our shop is the Frida Kahlo-inspired tote bag. It’s a special item for us because it beautifully encapsulates our admiration for this artist and the profound inspiration we draw from her work. In many ways, it embodies the essence of our shop and serves as a living testament to our motto.

Review Fix: Anything planned for the Fall and Holidays on the storefront?

Perazzo: Absolutely, we’re incredibly excited about the upcoming Fall and Holiday season in our shop! We believe in celebrating these special times of the year with creativity and unique designs. Such as items that celebrate the fight against Breast Cancer, Halloween and other family gatherings. To make the season even brighter, we’ll be running special promotions and discounts. It’s our way of giving back to our amazing customers who have supported us throughout the year.

Perazzo: We’re already setting our sights on what’s on the horizon for 2024 in our Etsy store. As we move forward, we’re keeping a keen eye on emerging trends and innovative ideas that are gaining momentum.
