Review Fix Exclusive:  Italia Tornabene Talks ‘Suits to Stilettos’ And More

Review Fix chats with writer Italia Tornabene about her new book, “Suits to Stilettos” and so much more.

About Italia Tornabene:

Perhaps the thriving, wildly productive, inspirational life Italia Tornabene now leads after years of setbacks, struggles, and disillusionment was foretold by her prophetic Italian surname, which translates to “good outcome” or “to return well.” Yet the incredible, seriously surreal journey from increasing despair to powerful breakthroughs and enduring hope she chronicles in her cleverly titled autobiography Suits to Stilettos has a trajectory like no other.

Typical single moms sacrificing to build a stable family life for their child might turn first to sex work to survive, then educate themselves, leave that lifestyle, and make a so-called respectable career on the straight and narrow. While working full time, Italia committed years of her life to getting the education part down, ultimately earning three degrees – including an Associate’s in Business Administration Management, a Bachelor’s in Legal Studies and a Master’s in Criminal Justice. Yet with the longtime government employee ultimately finding her personal redemption as an exotic dancer, porn star, and high-level escort – in addition to her ongoing success as a serial entrepreneur – Italia’s story is the life-affirming opposite of how these female overcomer and empowerment narratives usually go.

Review Fix: What inspired “Suits to Stilettos”?

Italia Tornabene: ‘Suits to Stilettos’ came from my own real-life transformation from an all-business mindset to a more glamorous lifestyle and mindset, embracing my love for fashion and fun. It was tough as I faced numerous challenges, but rewarding because I learned valuable lessons and experienced so much personal growth.  I just had to share this amazing journey.

Review Fix: What makes your story different?

Tornabene: ‘What makes my story stand out is it’s super personal but also really practical. It’s full of real stories and advice that anyone looking for a change can relate to. It’s about finding joy in new beginnings.

Review Fix: How hard was it for you to write this?

Tornabene: ‘Writing this book was a wild ride – it pushed me to open up about tough times and figure out how to put my journey into words. Some things were difficult to write about, but there is so much self-discovery that comes with facing difficult moments in your life.  So, I would say it was super tough but rewarding. Totally worth it to hopefully help others.

Review Fix: What did you learn about yourself while writing?

Tornabene: ‘Writing this really showed me how resilient and strong I had become. It revealed my personal growth and reminded me of the importance of staying true to myself, regardless of life’s challenges.  I also discovered a newfound confidence and passion for sharing my experiences and empowering others.

Review Fix: What could someone else gain from reading this?

Tornabene: ‘Suits to Stilettos’ is packed with inspiration and real talk. Readers will get a good push to chase their dreams, with some great tips for tough times. It’s all about embracing your true self and going for it.

Review Fix: You have a finance book as well – tell us about it. Is it available now? Where?

Tornabene: ‘Yes! I wrote a book called ‘Easy Investing: A Beginner’s Guide to Financial Growth’, which is available now on Amazon or my website www.italiatornabene.com. Just like the title entails, it’s all about making investing simple and approachable, even for beginners. It showcases the exact steps I took to secure my financial future and it’s perfect for anyone looking to get smarter with their money.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Tornabene: ‘More writing, for sure. I’m keeping my finger on the pulse of the finance world to keep giving you the most up-to-date and useful advice. There’s always more to learn and share and I am constantly researching and staying up to date with financial trends. I just want to continue helping people make better financial decisions so they can meet their goals.

Review Fix: Where can people find out more?

Tornabene: ‘Everything to know about me and my books are located on my website at www.italiatornabene.com or my Instagram @italiatornabene. I regularly share tips, resources, and updates about personal finance and investing, and my books are available for purchase there also.

Review Fix: Anything else you’d like to add?

Tornabene: ‘Just a quick reminder that understanding finance is key. It might seem intimidating, but with the right information and guidance, anyone can start investing. Keep asking, keep learning, and together, we can build a financially literate society and empower individuals to achieve their financial dreams.
