TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Not Much to Be Thankful For

The Thanksgiving edition of TNA Impact Wrestling left viewers with little to be thankful for other than a solid main event. With no factions, three title divisions that are void of competition and a vacant World Title, what reason is there to watch this show?

Check out our weekly TNA Power Rankings to read about the few faces that give us something to be thankful for when it comes to TNA.

5: Lei’d Tapa: The niece of the Barbarian was absolutely dominant over former Knockout Champion Velvet Sky this week. In her role as Gail Kim’s bodyguard, it’s obvious she won’t get a title shot soon, but if she continues to take down formidable opponents like Sky, she’ll eventually get a shot at the gold.

4: Ethan Carter III: Now that he’s graduated from Indie jobbers, Carter, fresh from his win over Shark Boy last week, defeated Curry Man. He’s got a great look and a cool finisher. This is a potential star in the making in spite of being a bit green on the microphone and in the ring. Simply put, he needs more ring time and is sure to get it in TNA. If the TV Title wasn’t a complete joke in the company, it would look decent around his waist.

3: Bromans: With Zema Ion as their “DJ,” Jessie Godderz and Robbie E are hilarious and can perform. Simply put, they’re one of the only worthwhile things on the show today.

2: Mr. Anderson: His “funeral” segment had some funny moments, but added little to the show. Regardless, Anderson looks to stay in the middle of a feud with Bully Ray and will reclaim his wiseass anti-hero role that led him to a few TNA World Title runs. Does he have it in him to win the strap again?

1: Kurt Angle: The only real star the company has that is willing to work every night, Angle had one of his better performances this week on Impact. At the same time, it’s obvious that this Angle is not the man he used to be and if he’s the best and most consistent worker in the company, TNA’s problems are massive.
