Neon Trees Album ‘Habits’ Hits Shelves Today

If you haven’t yet experienced the post-punk soul sound of the Neon Trees yet, their debut album, “Habits,” hits shelves today.

It was a few months back that we here at ReviewFix.com covered one of their shows at the Mercury Lounge and were pretty damn impressed:

“Consisting of Tyler Glenn (lead vocals, keyboards), Chris Allen (guitars), Branden Campbell (bass) and Elaine Bradley (drums, vocals), Neon Trees quickly invoke comparisons to bands such as Fallout Boy and The Bravery, but are quickly put to bed after a few songs. With Glenn’s booming voice, which feels bred from a healthy diet of Little Richard, John Fogerty, Bruce Springsteen and James Brown, he is without a doubt different from every lead singer in music today, thus making NT a more than intriguing entity as a whole.

He can wail- his band can play.”

However, before the show, we scored an exclusive interview with the band and even before they went on stage, they showed how much love they have for their music and well, how they’re just a bunch of energetic people looking to have a great time.

You can listen to that interview right here:

With their first single, “Animal,” sky rocketing to number one on the Alternative Specialty Chart in its debut week, with top-tier airplay reports pouring in from alternative rock stations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Kansas City, Columbus, Milwaukee, Portland and New York City, it should be interesting to see how their debut album does over the long haul.

Nevertheless, you heard it here first: this band is something special.
