WWE RAW Coverage: Better Than Hell in a Cell

The return of Nia Jax, the fun debut of Lio Rush and a slew of solid matches made this a good episode of RAW following a lackluster Hell in a Cell event.

Matches:

Dean Ambrose vs. WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Drew McIntyre: Ambrose bought out some old offense in the form of the Cloverleaf, but McIntyre was a step ahead and won with the Claymore.

Chad Gable w/Bobby Roode vs. Viktor w/Konnor: Gable won with the Missile Dropkick and the Rolling, Bridging German Suplex. After the match, Konnor took out both Roode and Gable.

Bayley w/Sasha Banks vs. Dana Brooke: Bayley won with the Running Knee and Belly-to-Bayley after she countered Brooke’s Fireman Driver.

The Authors of Pain: Akam and Rezar w/Drake Maverick vs. Two Local Competitors: AOP got another squash win with the Super Collider.

WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins: This could have been a main event. Ziggler and Rollins tore the house down as Rollins retained with The Stomp in an immensely tough challenge.

Elias Sampson vs. Bobby Lashley: This match got thrown out after Kevin Owens got involved, but Lio Rush’s involvement definitely added some fun to what could have been a bland confrontation.

Ember Moon and Nia Jax vs. Mickie James and Alicia Fox w/Alexa Bliss: The returning Jax got the win with a Samoan Drop on Mickie James.

Baron Corbin vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns: Reigns got the win after Corbin accidentally threw a chair and hit Reigns with it. Corbin then restarted the match as a No DQ, but Reigns hit the Superman Punch but Braun Strowman hit the ring and went on the attack. Corbin then hit the Deep Six for the near-fall, but Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler hit the ring, but Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins evened things up on the outside. Soon enough, Reigns won with the Spear.
