An awful opening segment set the tone for a slow, plodding mess of three hours of wrestling. If not for an excellent main event and the conclusion of Seth Rollins’ heel turn, this week’s RAW would have been passable entirely.
Matches:
Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy: McIntyre talked smack before the match but Hardy was game before The Scottish Psychopath hit the Future Shock DDT and the Claymore for the win.
WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: The Viking Raiders: Erik and Ivar vs. The Street Profits: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins: The Profits cane out firing hard, but Erik hit a nasty pair of knees and set up The Viking Experience on Ford for the win.
After the match, Seth Rollins hit the ring to call out AOP but was greeted by Kevin Owens. After Rollins left the ring, Sami Zayn and Mojo Rawley (who Owens slapped around earlier) joined the fray and Owens beat on Rawley with a steel pipe and went back to looking for AOP.
Akira Tozawa vs. Aleister Black: Tozawa got destroyed with The Black Mass.
Humberto Carrillo vs. Andrade w/Zelina Vega: Best march of the night that got hurt with an ill-times commercial break. After Andrade accidentally took out Vega, Carrillo capitalized with the pinning combination.
Buddy Murphy vs. Zack Ryder w/Curt Hawkins: Murphy got the win with Murphy’s Law.
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: The Kabuki Warriors: Asuka and Kairi Sane: The Champs got DQed after Sane put Lynch through a table with the InSane Elbow.
Erick Rowan vs. Jobber: Another win with the Iron Claw.
United States Champion Rey Mysterio vs. AJ Styles w/Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: An excellent encounter early on as Styes and Mysterio traded spots and strikes. A messed up spot at the end killed the flow of the match as Styles hit the Powerbomb and Styles Clash, but interference from Randy Orton served as an adequate distraction as Mysterio was able to steal the win.
