A wonderful main event and the possibility of a Johnny Gargano face-turn, as well as Roderick Strong’s return made this week’s NXT a special one.
Matches:
Adam Cole vs. Carmelo Hayes: Hayes was solid and avoided the Panama Sunrise once, but got hit with it the second time in Cole’s win.
Zoey Stark and Io Shirai vs. Aliyah and Jessi Kamea w/ Robert Stone: Shirai won with the Moonsault. By the end of it three different tag teams were in the ring before Samoa Joe had security clean it up.
The Way: Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory vs. Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan: Gargano got the win with One Final Beat on Lorcan. After the bell, Karrion Kross laid out Gargano.
Franky Monet vs. Elektra Lopez: A squash that saw Money win with the Road to Valhalla.
Hit Row: Top Dolla and Ashante Thee Adonis vs. Ever-Rise: Matt Martel and Chase Parker: Hit Row got the easy win with the Powerbomb/Neckbreaker variation.
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida vs. Kyle O’Reilly: O’Reilly Rolled Up Kushida while in the Hoverboard Lock. After the match, Adam Cole attacked O’Reilly, while Roderick Strong, alongside Tyler Rust, Hideki Suzuki and Malcolm Bivens took out Kushida.

Hickey Jr. is also a voice actor, having starred in the 2018 indie hit and 2019 Switch, PS4 and Xbox One release, The Padre (also serving as English language Story Editor), from Shotgun With Glitters. The sequel, The Padre: One Shell Straight to Hell was released in February 2021- Hickey also served as a Story Editor and Lead Voiceover performer. He has also done narration and trailers for several other titles including The Kaiju Offensive, Relentless Rex and Roniu’s Tale.
Hickey is also the lead voiceover performer on Mega Cat Studios’ upcoming title WrestleQuest, responsible for nearly 90 characters in the game, as well as Skybound's Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood, where he voices both Dracula and Renfield, as well as several other characters. He also stars in Ziggurat Interactive’s World Championship Boxing Manager 2, where he performs the VO of nearly every male character in the game. He also worked on the Atari VCS’s BPM Boy.
