TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: A Night for the Mid-card

The New York City Gold Rush theme for this week’s was all about developing the mid-card and while it meant no Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley or any other TNA Champion, it was a decent show with plenty of quality wrestling.

If anything it showed just how much depth there is on the TNA roster.

Matches:

MVP vs. Low Ki: Although Low Ki hit a few kicks and went for his Ki Krusher several times, MVP got the win with the Drive By Shining Wizard.

Robbie E. vs. Tajiri: Robbie E couldn’t put Tajiri away with the Impaler DDT and Tajiri capitalized with the Green Mist and the Buzzsaw Kick for the win.

Austin Aries vs. Knux w/The Freak, Crazy Steve and Rebel: Able to stay away from the rest of The Menagerie and keep up with the surprisingly athletic Knux, Aries got a huge pop when he picked up the 300-pound plus Knux and nailed him with the Brainbuster for the win.

Magnus vs. Mr. Anderson: Whoa. Not expected. Anderson countered the Spine Shaker into the Mic Check for the win.

Abyss vs. Sam Shaw: Abyss was in complete control away from a few shots from Shaw. Although Shaw wasn’t pinned after a Chokeslam, Abyss put him away with the Blackhole Slam

Tajiri vs. MVP vs. Austin Aries vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Abyss: An enjoyable match with plenty of near-falls and spots. Aries got the pin with a Rollup on MVP following a counter of MVP’s Shining Wizard.
