WWE Main Event Coverage: Chess Anyone?

Erik Rowan played chess with Paige and The New Day continue to prove they have plenty of tricks up their sleeves. More than just recaps and promo for Monday Night RAW and Smackdown, this week’s Main Event continued to build the feud between the Usos and The Miz, as well as a budding feud between Titus O’Neil and Rowan.

Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro w/ Natalya Neidhart vs. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston w/Big E. Langston: A great back and forth encounter with plenty of offense. Cesaro and Kidd worked great together, hitting a Giant Swing, Dropkick variation that got the crowd into the match. After Kidd was unable to put away Woods with a plethora of Cradles, School Boys and Rollups, Woods hit the Double Knee Gutbuster, which was followed up by the Double Stomp/Backbreaker combination from Woods and Kingston for the win.

Emma vs. Paige: Emma played around with Paige early and went through some of her signature maneuvers, but Paige, thanks to stiff kicks and the PTO, got the win via submission.

Erik Rowan vs. Kane: Rowan was in control for most of the match and took the fight to the outside, but on his way back in, he walked right into a Kane Chokeslam and the loss.
