WWE RAW Coverage: Eliminating Creativity Before the Chamber

What was supposed to be a go-home show before Elimination Chamber was another three-hour snooze fest.

While pretty much every match on the card was teased, there just wasn’t anything out of left field to get you excited and while the guest appearance of the cast of “The Entourage” was cool, it wasn’t enough to get the show over.

Sad, but true, the WWE is in some serious need of star power, whether it be Brock Lesnar, Sting, The Rock, anyone, at this point to get the show into some level of unpredictability. With no Daniel Bryan either, the in-ring product isn’t nearly as energetic either.

Matches:

Kane and WWE Champion Seth Rollins w/Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose: A lengthy encounter, but one that was ultimately pretty flat. Sure, all four competitors hit a nice amount of moves, but it didn’t mean much. Although Reigns and Ambrose were the better team, J & J security paid dividends as usual to keep the match close. However, after Rollins hit the Flying Knee, Ambrose played smart and countered a Rollins pinning combination, stacking up Rollins for the win.

Rusev vs. R-Truth: Rusev got the quick with with The Accolade. After the match, Rusev called out Lana and asked her to admit that she was wrong, but she wouldn’t, instead continuing to say that Rusev did in fact quit in his last match with John Cena before she lip-locked with Dolph Ziggler, again.

Ryback vs. Wade Barrett: Despite favoring his ribs, Ryback got the win over Barrett with The Shell-Shocked.

Stardust vs. Adrian Neville: Neville, got the win, but Bo Dallas got the last laugh in the end, working over Neville’s knee.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus: These two fought all over the ring area, but it wasn’t until Rusev stole Ziggler’s attention that Sheamus was able to steal the win with the Brogue Kick. After the match, Rusev beat on Ziggler some more.

United States Champion John Cena vs. Zack Ryder: Thanks to interference from the cast of The Entourage, Ryder nearly got the pinfall on several occasions after The Impaler, Broski Boot and the Rough Ryder. But after Ryder missed the Splash from the top, Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment for the win. After the match, Kevin Owens hit the ring and again, took out Cena with the Powerbomb.

Paige vs. Tamina w/Naomi: A sloppy match that saw Tamina get the win with the Samoan Drop following interference from Naomi.

WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods w/Big E. Langston vs. Kalisto and Sin Cara, Darren Young, Titus O’Neill, Los Matadores, Viktor and Konnor, Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro w/Natalia Neidhart: The match got thrown out after all the other teams decided to beat on the Tag Champs. After the bell, Kidd and Cesaro got the last laugh.
